We found on Monday that the suspect in the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley is a documented member of Tren de Aragua (TdA).
As Jose Ibarra's trial resumed in Athens, Georgia, it emerged that the 26-year-old illegal immigrant was a reported member of TdA, alongside at least one of his brothers.
On February 22, 2024, Laken Riley, a 22-year-old Augusta University nursing student, was killed while she was jogging at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Her body was found in Oconee Forest Park near Lake Herrick;[4] her death was caused by blunt force trauma and asphyxiation.
